Tommy Hilfiger Collaborates With British Designer Richard Quinn: TOMMYXRICHARDQUINN FW22 Capsule Collection.
Breaking cultural expectations to redefine the meaning of beauty. TOMMYXRICHARDQUINN is a limited-edition collection that merges Tommy’s signature new prep aesthetics with Quinn’s paradoxical anarchy.
“I first learned about Richard Quinn in 2018, when he was given the Queen Elizabeth II Award,” says Hilfiger. “Then, I knew we had to collaborate with him after I saw him dress Kylie Minogue and her dancers at the Fashion Awards last year. I adore the fact that he offers something radically different.”The capsule collection, which consists of 40 different pieces, marries Quinn’s dramatic silhouettes and bold use of pattern with Hilfiger’s American classics. “It’s a twist of our modern prep house codes fused with Quinn’s aesthetic – there’s even our newly launched TH monogram that’s been remixed with Quinn’s daisy design,” explains Hilfiger.
Quinn, took inspiration from the varsity jackets, kilts worn with boxer shorts, and punk references from the incredible Tommy Hilfiger archive. “I then added my own kinky aspects, like the cat looks, and it all came together in a totally unique way,” adds the designer.
