The American Icon: Fashion Through the Decades collection merges different realms of American fashion and reimagines them in current, stylish, and interesting ways.

It delves into the history, culture, style, and inventiveness of American fashion, from 1950s ball gown skirts and corsets through 1960s stylish boucle, 1970s bells and brocades, 1990s grunge, and current striped sportswear. It also looks at how American tradition and fashion influence one another.
