A long-running rumour about Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling not being the sole Barbie and Ken dolls in Greta Gerwig's upcoming Barbie movie has been proven. 

Along with Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef, and others portraying Barbie variants, pop artist Dua Lipa will make her acting debut. Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa, and Scott Evans are slated to play Ken variations. There was a rumour going around that the music artist Dua Lipa got a part in the movie last year when the official Barbie movie account followed her on Instagram. 

There is a recurring element in the Barbie movie posters: each Barbie actor portrays a version of Barbie with a different job. Barbie played by Dua Lipa is a mermaid, Barbie played by Issa Rae is the president, and Barbie played by Nicola Coughlan is a diplomat, but all Ken actors just portray Ken. In addition, the character posters include Will Ferrell as the CEO of Mattel, Helen Mirren as the narrator, and Michael Cera as Allan for the first time. The story of the "Barbie" movie is still a secret, despite the fact that the complete cast has already been made public. The film will have its theatrical debut on July 21.
