LOEWE has established bizarre inventions as its brand identity. With Jonathan Anderson at the lead, the brand has established its own fashion standards and is still producing outlandish pieces that merit a second, third, or even fourth look.

LOEWE's Spring/Summer 2023 menswear collection debuted on the runway last summer, but it is just now making its way to store shelves, bringing with it a futuristic identity and a tonne of outdoor theme. The Grass Sneaker, LOEWE's newest pair of shoes, is covered in overgrown foliage collected from nature. The pairs on the runway took more than 20 days to seed and grow, whereas the retail version uses fake raffia to mimic real grass.

A supple canvas base is placed beneath, connected to white midsoles hidden by its sprouting meadow. Finally, leather heel tabs receive gilded branding, while wavy indentations decorate the gum outsoles that curve up the rears.
