A.P.C. X JW Anderson Collaboration: A Cozy Knitwear Collection for the Season

Two different fashion tastes are at the centre of this cooperation. The hand-painted cotton knit suit and black denim motorcycle jacket give off a powerful, structured vibe. Conversely, brightly coloured knitwear and distressed jeans embody a laid-back, hippy vibe that appeals to a wide range of consumers looking for stylish comfort.
Giving his perspective, Jonathan Anderson said, "This endeavour was an adventure, a step into the unknown. It feels intuitively correct and fits in well with my current fashion attitude. What excites me more is that we're not merely rewriting things; rather, we're honouring those aspects that call for acknowledgement. A.P.C. is excellent at finding the ideal balance and never going too far. It has a feeling of modern relevance."
The classic performance by Joseph Beuys, "I Like America and America Likes Me," which made a powerful statement against the Vietnam War, served as an inspiration for creative minds. Subtle homages to the performance—like the felt material of the duffle coat, which is reminiscent of Beuys's blanket—as well as overt allusions—like the ambulance and the gallery's location, 409 West Broadway—pay tribute to their muse.
The creative director of A.P.C., Jean Touitou, commended the smooth cooperation and highlighted the fruitful synergy with Jonathan. "Our brainstorming sessions turned basic ideas into creative thoughts quickly and dynamically.
