Louis Vuitton Holiday 2023 shot by Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
Louis Vuitton's most recent Holiday 2023 ad hails the timeless charm of holiday celebrations and gift-giving. The campaign is being directed by the clever creative team of Charles Levai and Kevin Tekinel, with photography by Oliver Hadlee Pearch and cinematography by Lope Serrano. It centres on a compelling short film that will be the first in a planned narrative series that will be released in the month before the holidays.
The plot centres on the return of the adorable house mascot, Vivienne, along with her fellow countryman Teddy from the previous season. The film, which alternates between dream and reality, takes place in an enchanted Louis Vuitton studio where talented craftspeople painstakingly create giftable LV emblems.
These works are given life by the Maison's muses. A humorous turn of events occurs when Vivienne and Teddy attempt to take possession of one of the presents, unintentionally stopping time and turning the action-packed images into still, sculpture-like ones.
In addition to the short film, a series of still images features Vivienne merrily traversing scenarios that feature recognizable LV trunks and creative takes on classic brand images.
This first chapter lays a strong basis for a story that will hopefully develop, leaving readers to wonder what kind of trip the small heroes may take to break free of time before the much-anticipated gift day arrives. Regardless of the course the story takes, Louis Vuitton shows intelligence by presenting its holiday campaign as a series.
This is a calculated move that goes beyond the traditional one-and-done approach and provides a consistent, engaging narrative while bolstering brand presence all season long.
Louis Vuitton continues to express a feeling of fantasy and adventure in spite of any worries about brand dilution owing to its complex character; this is especially evident in its art of travel and vacation advertisements. The campaign, which is characterized by ambition, humour, and inclusion, gives the traditional holiday adventure tale a distinctively Louis Vuitton spin.
