Silvia Tcherassi is a prominent figure in the fashion industry, a real trailblazer, inventor, and trendsetter. One of the greatest honours granted to leaders of the global arts community for their "contribution and commitment to cultural service" is the Officier de L'Ordre Arts et Lettres (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters), an accolade that she has received.

According to WWD, she is the originator of the Latin flair and she was born in Colombia, on the Caribbean coast. Tcherassi started out as an interior designer, but her pursuit of fresh artistic expression brought her into the fashion industry. 

Her designs have been seen at the official schedule of the fashion weeks in Paris and Milan, where she was welcomed as a special guest by the event organisers.
