The brilliant sister team of Chloé and Parris Gordon created Beaufille, which has been a trailblazer for minimalist style. But with the release of their Pre-Fall 2024 collection, the designers have improved their brand image by skillfully fusing elaborate handcrafted details with their distinctive tailoring to provide a novel spin on modern style.

According to Chloé Gordon, the main idea behind the collection was to add feminine and summer-appropriate elements to their well-known tailoring and suiting category. What was the outcome? Cutouts made with macramé embroidery that creatively resemble bra and undergarment forms. 

This design option offers fashion diversity by working with jackets, maxi- and miniskirts. The pair's dedication to creativity is seen by their classic men's pantsuits with delicate lace trim and their jackets, which may be worn daringly.

A chic choice to 'put over your swimsuit' is the release of new cotton crochet shirts with scalloped edges, demonstrating Beaufille's versatility as a fashion retailer. Previously limited to knitwear, signature draped and twisted features have expanded to include sultry blouses with twisted hems and understated hook-and-eye fastenings, as well as a daring crop top with gloves that looks like latex and is inspired by Baes dresses. In contrast to the more stereotypically feminine fashions, such as hot shorts and napa leather items, these additions offer a rougher look.

Beaufille's Pre-Fall 2024 collection explores volume and proportions with pieces like ballet-inspired poufed skirts, neat small boxy coats, and button-on/button-off tailoring in primarily neutral hues. Chloé Gordon credits the meticulously chosen colour scheme to the captivating colour combinations she saw in different kinds of fungus on a microbiologist's Instagram feed.

Parris Gordon's jewellery selection rounds out the choice by deliberately balancing the ready-to-wear items. The styles' necklaces and earrings are echoed in leather eyelet belts and bag straps embellished with bespoke sterling silver charms, resulting in a unified and tasteful look. Parris Gordon has returned with sustainable, art- and nature-inspired "refined costume jewellery" statement designs, having previously concentrated on creating a core demi-fine jewellery line for Beaufille. Among them is a sterling silver rendition of their famous pearl branch earrings from 2019, which highlights the brand's dedication to classic and eco-friendly design.
