Sachin & Babi Spring Summer 2024 Collection Lookbook
The dynamic duo behind the well-known fashion brand Sachin & Babi, Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia, travelled to the southwest late last year and inaugurated Scottsdale Fashion Week. Babi had celebrated her birthday in Santa Fe a few weeks prior. Their gorgeous lookbook for the Spring Summer 2024 collection, captured in the Arizona desert, clearly reflects the influence of their time spent out west. Babi emphasised her surprise at the brilliance of desert flowers against the parched surroundings, underlining the stunning juxtaposition that informed their recent designs.
Vibrant colours have been associated with Sachin & Babi in the cutthroat New York evening dress industry. The brand emphasises vivid colours at a time when many stores appear to have lost most of their vibrancy. "We are an optimistic brand; it's how we'd like to be in these terrible times," Babi said. This collection's colour scheme is inspired by the cheerfulness of nature, which stands in stark contrast to the muted tones of the desert. The garments, with their vibrant floral embroidery, airy dresses, and roomy, billowing silhouettes that pay homage to the basic joys of getting dressed up, exude a cheerful vibe.
To revitalise the public's impression of Sachin & Babi, the Ahluwalias are now working on a brand revamp. According to Babi, "As we grow and evolve the brand, people generally forget the story." They set off on a shoot in India with a satellite crew in Mumbai to breathe new life into their narration, including a richer cultural element into their plot. In addition, the footwear and evening bags have been included by the fashion giant to its collection.
These new accessories, which Babi describes as "a pop of vitality in someone's wardrobe," support the brand's overall objective of bringing positivity to all facets of design.
The India photo shoot marks a turning point in the brand's history by reestablishing a connection to its origins and reviving its essence. The brilliant colours and textures of the southwest mixed with Indian influences produce a distinctive blend that makes this collection stand out.
