Unveiled on September 4, 2024, during Tokyo Fashion Week, Balmung's Spring Summer 2025 collection offers an engaging examination of the digital era. The collection, "MOVEMENT / CIRCLE," explores the complex relationships between movement, cycles, and the increasingly hazy boundaries separating the actual world from the virtual one.

The theme of the collection, "MOVEMENT / CIRCLE," encompasses a multitude of ideas, ranging from trends and cultural movements to the cyclical aspect of time and the interdependence of people. Balmung uses clothes as a tool to investigate the intricate interactions between the real and virtual worlds, expertly translating these abstract concepts into tangible design.

Exaggerated silhouettes are one of the collection's most noticeable features. For instance, the classic MA-1 jacket is redesigned with a voluminous silhouette, short length, and oversized shoulder and chest panels. The jacket's dramatic contrast between aggressiveness and delicacy is further accentuated by its translucent outside and roomy, tulle-filled inner.

The clothing is covered in a wide variety of prints, such as dots, stripes, camouflage, and specially created cosmic patterns. Prints like polka dots and camouflage tights and striped shirts combine to produce an eye-catching and highly customised look. This is the first time that Balmung has combined so many different designs into one collection, and every design has a special meaning of its own.

Miri Murata, an artist and friend of Balmung designer HACHI, designed the prints that adorn jackets and sheer tops. These elaborate graphics feature artificially made apples and dolphins and jellyfish in a future, mechanical manner. Murata reflects the frequently illogical ideas and beliefs that dominate social media and modern culture by fusing these seemingly unrelated aspects to create a sense of spiritual symbolism and the otherworldly.

The collection's colour scheme is equally stunning, with bright splashes of colour like neon yellow, red, blue, and silver mixed with Balmung's typical muted tones of grey, black, and white. These striking colours are meant to draw attention to the fine details of the clothing and to produce striking contrasts.
