In the newly opened Plein Hotel, Philipp Plein showcased his distinctive maximalist style during the grand opening of his Spring Summer 2025 collection. This glitzy location, which is in front of the Indro Montanelli Gardens in the centre of Milan, gave the presentation an extra dose of extravagance. With its 13 rooms and four eateries, the hotel, which is scheduled to launch in November, will further expand Plein's brand into the upscale lifestyle market. Plein personally greeted visitors prior to the performance, demonstrating his enthusiasm for this daring new endeavour.The runway showed what the German designer called a "evolution of style," adhering to the brand's audacious look while making necessary adjustments to remain relevant even after 25 years. In this collection, tailoring took the stage and provided a modern take on timeless designs. The Prince of Wales check suits and separates were particularly noteworthy; several of them had Swarovski crystals set in flame-themed patterns, adding Plein's distinctive flair to conventional textiles. In contrast to these elaborate items, monochrome double-breasted suits with straight, simple lines provided a modern interpretation of casual elegance.
