Tom Ford Spring Summer 2025 Menswear Collection Featuring shot by Adam Peter Johnson
Tom Ford's Spring 2025 Menswear collection rejects subtlety in favour of a daring embracing of sensual trends. Drawing inspiration from the '70s aesthetic created in Ford's Autumn 2024 collection, Peter Hawkings, who was appointed creative director after Tom Ford's departure in 2023, presents his inaugural menswear line. To establish the tone for his idea, Hawkings adds a new vitality and makes the appearance more lively and striking. Long before trainers and tees became nightlife mainstays, this collection pays homage to a time when men dressed in their finest or flashiest apparel.
With a succession of glossy, pastel-colored outfits, the collection moves into more extravagant territory as it goes on. These suits give off an air of confidence when accessorised with slim sequin scarves with tassels or glossy black ties. Some ensembles offer a casual yet fashionable alternative to traditional blazers by substituting bomber jackets and trench coats. Vibrant turquoise and fuchsia accents are prominent, as seen in pieces like a totally fuchsia suit that is meant to turn heads and velvet pants worn with a button-down and turtleneck combination.Tom Ford Spring Summer 2025 Menswear collection lookbook featuring Daniel Awaridhe (Model) shot by Adam Peter Johnson (Photographer), styled by Alister Mackie (Wardrobe Stylist).
The collection, which takes cues from rock legends like Mick Jagger and David Bowie, skilfully combines bold, flamboyant patterns with elegantly understated forms. The first impressions are sophisticated and reminiscent of the classic '60s style that Hawkings has always embraced. Turtlenecks, leather trenchcoats, and classic pinstripe suits in white and black are the embodiment of sophisticated elegance. Tom Ford's characteristic oversized sunglasses go well with every outfit and ground the collection in the brand's unique aesthetic.
The collection's big finale, which features a plethora of patterns and sequins adorning blazers and '70s blouse-trouser combos, channelling full disco glamour. Gold-colored jackets and pants provide a striking effect, and classic and embossed leopard designs lend a touch of wild elegance to blazers and blouses. As the season comes to an end, floral prints start to show. Black and silver sequin bomber jackets make for a stunning finish.
