For Spring/Summer 2025, Josie Natori masterfully revisited Japonisme—the 19th-century movement where Western European artists drew inspiration from Japanese aesthetics. This collection elegantly merged Natori’s hallmark fusion of Eastern and Western artistry, with sculptural, contemporary forms breathing new life into her signature, timeless designs.

A defining element of the collection was a striking three-dimensional origami-inspired floral motif, gracefully embellishing tops, dresses, and accessories. This intricate detail injected a sense of youthful exuberance into Natori’s polished, classic styles. 

The floral theme unfolded in a variety of textures and patterns, such as delicately embroidered kimono-style tops and T-shirt dresses adorned with petal-like hems. Particularly noteworthy were the white lace dresses, where delicate flowers were seamlessly woven into the fabric, adding a layer of sophistication. “Japonisme has always been close to my heart,” Natori shared, emphasizing how the movement’s influence shaped the sculptural and modern silhouettes that defined this season’s collection.
