Ashi Studio SS25 Haute Couture: A Study in Sensuality and Transformation
For Spring 2025, Ashi Studio explored a new facet of its aesthetic—sensuality—framing it within a narrative of ambition and transformation. With references to French bourgeois aspirations, the collection blended provocative materials with structured silhouettes, creating a tension between allure and restraint.
The collection imagined a woman shaping her own destiny, inspired by the enigmatic figures of Serge Lutens and the refined yet shadowy world of Madame Claude. Each look carried a classically French name, reinforcing the theme of calculated ascent in social circles.Chantilly lace, duchesse satin, and rich velvet defined the collection’s sensual language, their delicate or plush textures emphasizing the body while maintaining a degree of mystery. Corseted lace gowns played with transparency, while sculptural silhouettes in heavier fabrics suggested a commanding presence. Accessories, such as feather-sculpted dogs and sequined cigarette motifs, added wit to the otherwise aristocratic atmosphere.
As the show progressed, Ashi Studio transitioned from body-conscious cuts to opulent interpretations of domestic luxury. Elements from refined interiors—Coromandel screens, marquetry furniture—appeared as intricate mother-of-pearl embellishments on corsets, elevating the collection’s theme of transformation from desire to establishment.
