Fluke x Judo: Redefining Love, Passion & Stardom – An Exclusive Interview.
Three days before Christmas, OTS Magazine UK, in collaboration with Instyle Asia, had the privilege of sitting down with Thai actors Fluke Natouch Siripongthon and Judo Tantachj Tharinpirom. Known for their compelling performances in the global BL phenomenon Make A Wish the series, the duo captivated audiences with their talent, charisma, and dedication to the craft.
The interview took place at the Happy Winter Thai Festival in Tokyo, where we delved beyond their international stardom and explored their personal journeys—what led them to the industry, the challenges they’ve faced, and their unique perspectives on genderless love. Before the interview, Instyle Asia captured their refined sense of style in two distinct looks, both crafted by Thai designers dedicated to sustainable fashion.
Fluke donned a blue-collared cotton blazer over a sleeve shirt, tailored from recycled yarn and woven by hand—a striking piece by JUN, a label from Chiang Mai. Meanwhile, Judo showcased an ensemble in soft pink and white by Pha Pa-Tiw, a collective from Ubon Ratchathani, where villagers hand-spin and naturally dye cotton fibres with tree bark and sappanwood, creating fabrics infused with cultural heritage. These looks reflect not only the actors’ appreciation for artistry but also their support for local craftsmanship.
Now, let’s dive into this exclusive conversation with Fluke and Judo, where they discuss their inspirations, challenges, and aspirations, offering an intimate glimpse into their world.
What inspired you to pursue acting, and can you share a defining moment in your career that solidified your passion for the craft?
Judo: Entering the entertainment industry was, in a way, a fortunate coincidence for me. I met my current manager, and that connection opened the doors to this world. Over time, I realized that experience is the greatest teacher—each role, each workshop strengthened my skills and deepened my love for acting. I find joy in the process and hope that resonates with the audience.
Fluke: Unlike Judo, my path into acting was intentional. I began my career by auditioning for films, and with every role I took on, I immersed myself in learning and growing. The journey has been one of continuous development, and every project adds to my experience.
How do you prepare for emotionally demanding roles, and what’s the most challenging character you’ve ever portrayed?
Judo: My most challenging role to date has been in Make A Wish The Series, where I played a doctor. Although I’ve portrayed medical professionals before, this role required me to master medical terminology and procedures with precision. I even had the opportunity to learn from real doctors to ensure authenticity. The challenge was immense, but seeing the audience’s appreciation made it all worthwhile.
Fluke: My preparation involves a deep dive into the script—analyzing the character, researching their background, and observing real-life parallels. Each role presents its own set of challenges; none are easy. Every character I embody pushes me beyond my comfort zone.
Who are your biggest influences in the film industry, and how have they shaped your approach to acting?
Fluke: I admire Andrew Garfield. He’s not just an incredible actor but also someone who respects the craft and understands the depth of his roles. He immerses himself in each performance, and that level of dedication inspires me.
Judo: Christian Bale is my inspiration. His ability to transform completely for a role, both physically and mentally, is something I deeply admire. His work in The Dark Knight series, under Christopher Nolan’s direction, is a prime example of his dedication. I aspire to bring that level of commitment to my own work.

What’s one life lesson you’ve learnt from a role you’ve played that you carry with you today?
Fluke: Daughters (2020), which explored drug addiction, left a lasting impression on me. The series highlighted the harsh realities of substance abuse and its consequences. It reinforced my belief that storytelling has the power to educate and create awareness.
Judo: While no single role has profoundly changed me, I have an upcoming film about drugs that serves as a reminder of karma—our actions have consequences. It’s a lesson I keep with me.
How do you decide which roles to take on, and what kind of stories resonate with you the most?
Fluke: I choose roles that captivate me—stories that intrigue me from the first read. If I feel a strong connection to a character and believe I can do justice to it, that’s when I take on the challenge.
Judo: In the beginning, I didn’t have much choice in selecting roles. But with experience, I now seek out characters that challenge me. I read the script carefully and choose roles that push me to grow.
Acting often involves collaboration. How do you balance bringing your own perspective to a role while respecting the director’s vision?
Judo: Preparation is key. Before filming, I rehearse and discuss my interpretation with the director. It’s a collaborative process—we align our perspectives to create the best possible performance.
Fluke: I see the director as my guide. Communication is essential to ensure we’re on the same page regarding a character’s portrayal.
Can you tell us about any upcoming projects you’re excited about?
Fluke: I’m currently working on Make A Wish: The Series Season 2 and Lost on The River Introduce. The latter is particularly exciting because it’s a completely different genre, featuring intense drama and musical elements. I’ll be playing a surgeon, which requires additional research and preparation.
Judo: I’m thrilled about Make A Wish The Series Season 2. The storyline is even more intricate this time, and I can’t wait for fans to see how it unfolds. In Lost on The River Introduce, I play a music producer—a role far from my real life, making it an exciting challenge.
If you could play any character, real or fictional, who would it be?
Fluke: I’d love to play Nobita from Doraemon! Bringing such a beloved character to life in a live-action adaptation would be a dream.
Judo: I’d choose the Joker from Batman. Portraying a complex, psychologically intense character like him would be the ultimate test of my acting abilities.
Fluke and Judo continue to impress with their passion, dedication, and versatility. As they step into new roles and explore new narratives, their commitment to storytelling remains unwavering. Whether on-screen or through their personal endeavors, these rising stars are redefining the industry, one performance at a time.
