Bonnetje FW25-26: Deconstructing Identity Through Sartorial Duality
At Copenhagen Fashion Week FW25, Bonnetje’s Doublages collection redefined the boundaries between work and personal identity in a world where the two increasingly blur. Deconstructing the corporate uniform, the collection reimagined the white-collar suit as a fluid, shape-shifting entity.
Conceptual standouts included a dress constructed from vertical blinds—an evocative metaphor for privacy and exposure—and a transparent sheath made of plastic document sleeves, reflecting the vulnerability of professional life. Inspired by American Psycho, Severance, and Maya Deren’s surrealist cinema, the collection examined fragmented identities and the illusion of control.Set against the stark backdrop of a vacant office floor, with a scent-scape blending machine sterility and human warmth, Doublages challenged fashion’s role in self-presentation. Bonnetje once again proved its mastery in fusing intellect with avant-garde craftsmanship, inviting wearers to embrace the contradictions of modern existence.
