Chika Kisada’s Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection took center stage at the Garden Shinkiba Factory in Tokyo, presenting a bold fusion of ballet’s delicate grace and punk’s rebellious energy. This season, the designer introduced a whimsical, avant-garde twist to her signature aesthetic, incorporating playful pop culture references—most notably, models carrying Barbie doll boxes, which added a surreal, toy-like charm to the runway.

The collection shimmered with elements reminiscent of glittering childhood keepsakes. Beaded cardigans layered over lace leotards, sequined logo T-shirts, and embroidered sheer skirts captured a dreamlike nostalgia, while metallic skirts peeked out from beneath voluminous puffer jackets. Accessories continued the theme, with bags adorned with colorful charms and tulle-wrapped handles adding an extra layer of fantasy.

Balancing structure with movement, Chika Kisada played with contrasts. Constructed trench coats were softened with flowing pink tulle, high-waisted denim pants featured delicate tulle ribbons, and navy tulle dresses with structured bustiers emphasized sculptural elegance. Voluminous silhouettes—dome-like pannier skirts, layered faux fur skirts, and long mohair knits—brought a theatrical dimension to the collection.

The brand’s iconic tulle craftsmanship was reimagined with dynamic layering techniques. Wide-leg pants adorned with frills created striking movement, while inside-out constructions, such as tulle dresses revealing interior pockets and linings, added an element of deconstruction. Oversized leather blousons layered with skeletal bra structures further blurred the lines between fragility and defiance.

With its blend of ballet elegance, punk irreverence, and playful storytelling, the Chika Kisada FW25 collection offered a refreshing take on femininity—one that embraces both beauty and rebellion in a seamless, poetic dance.
