HYKE FW25: A Return to the Runway, Defined by Tactile Minimalism
After a five-year hiatus, HYKE made a striking return to the runway at Tokyo Fashion Week FW25, unveiling its Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection at the expansive Ariake Arena. Staying true to its DNA, the brand reimagined everyday essentials with a refined yet functional sensibility, fusing military and workwear influences with an elevated approach to layering and texture.
This season, plush boa fabrics introduced warmth and depth to HYKE’s signature minimalist tailoring. The brand’s iconic toggle-button coat was reinterpreted with boa paneling, creating the illusion of layered vests, while the MA-1 bomber jacket featured textural contrast with its soft, voluminous sleeves. Sheer veils draped over structured silhouettes added ethereal fluidity, while cropped knit shawls and sculptural vests played with proportion, enhancing the interplay between transparency and opacity.
A muted autumnal palette—rich beige, brown, and khaki—set a tone of understated sophistication, punctuated by a green ombré check pattern that lent a vintage-infused edge. Styling details leaned into subtle contrasts, with retro-inspired knit beanies offering a rare nostalgic twist to HYKE’s clean, contemporary aesthetic.
This season also marked the final chapter of HYKE’s collaboration with The North Face under their TNFH project, concluding a multi-season partnership with a range of logo-adorned trail-inspired pieces. The brand also revisited past collaborations, releasing fresh variations of its porter-designed bags and introducing new eyewear with Eyevan, leather shoes with beautiful shoes, and sculptural jewelry with End Custom Jewellery.
With FW25, HYKE reinforced its position as a master of modern minimalism, balancing structure with movement and function with quiet elegance. In this long-awaited return, the brand delivered a collection that was both forward-thinking and timelessly HYKE.
