Jitrois FW25/26: The Dress-Up Box—A Vision of Leather, Light, and Transformation
For Fall/Winter 2025-2026, Jean-Claude Jitrois redefines sartorial storytelling with The Dress-Up Box, an enigmatic collection that transforms fashion into a theatrical act of self-expression. Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences—Picasso’s Harlequin, the dreamlike surrealism of The Red Shoes, the avant-garde futurism of The Fifth Element, and the sultry drama of Almodóvar’s High Heels—the collection blurs the line between past, present, and cinematic fantasy.
Jitrois’ unparalleled mastery of stretch leather takes center stage, sculpting the body with liquid precision, while embroidered leather gleams like celestial constellations. Glossy patent sheepskin injects a cutting-edge allure, offset by the weightless fluidity of silk chiffon, gossamer tulle, and ethereal organza. This interplay of rigid structure and effortless movement speaks to the collection’s core theme: the art of reinvention.
Silhouettes embrace duality—tailored jackets exude power, while second-skin dresses accentuate sensuality. Billowing cargo pants and contoured trousers offer a new dimension of ease and edge, amplifying Jitrois’ vision of strength and sophistication. The palette mirrors this contrast, weaving between pristine white, soft greige, and carbon grey before plunging into deep brown, dark khaki, and his signature inky black. A bold carmine red injects fiery intensity, tempered by the muted opulence of ochre jaune.
With The Dress-Up Box, Jitrois invites us to step into a world where fashion is an extension of identity—fluid, transformative, and unbound by convention.
