For his 50th collection, Norio Amagabe presented Support Surface’s Fall Winter 2025-2026 runway show at Terada Warehouse E HALL, overlooking the Tennozu Canal in Tokyo. Accompanied by a live band performance directed by Shin Araki and sound artists Moskitoo, the show was an immersive exploration of beauty, both in fashion and philosophy.

Titled "Crystallize," the collection challenged conventional ideas of functionality and beauty, posing the notion that while "beautiful things are never wasteful, things that are not wasteful are not necessarily beautiful." Amagabe sought to refine and perfect aesthetic ideals, using cutting-edge techniques in draping, tucks, and three-dimensional shaping.

The show opened with a minimalist first look: a light gray glen check drop-shoulder shirt paired with pinstripe center-pressed slacks. This subtle, architectural precision set the tone for the collection’s focus on structure and silhouette.

The first half maintained a chic, neutral palette of light gray and black, with plain, structured fabrics shaping blouses, wide pants, skirts, cardigans, and dresses. As the collection progressed, color and texture expanded, introducing deep green, camel, baby pink, and multicolored checks, rendered in lace, tulle, and velvet.

The finale was a symphony of all-black elegance, featuring luxurious, three-dimensional silhouettes in satin, velvet, tulle, lace, eco-fur, and jacquard. This gradual evolution throughout the show mirrored Amagabe’s belief in the importance of process—the act of trial, error, refinement, and ultimate crystallization of beauty.

Reflecting on the collection, Amagabe noted that his concept of beauty has evolved over time, stating:"In today's world, where everything can be done with a single click, I wanted to convey the importance of the process—of adding and subtracting—before arriving at the final ‘beauty’ that I could not achieve in my youth."
