AnOnlyChild FW25/26: Shape and Substance
Maxwell Osborne’s Fall Winter 2025–2026 collection for AnOnlyChild is a masterclass in form, texture, and reinterpretation. Rooted in his tailoring legacy from Public School and DKNY, the collection expands his narrative into new territory—where structure meets spontaneity and familiar silhouettes are redefined.
Pinstripe trousers, voluminous suiting, and the designer’s signature double-pleat pants anchor the collection in confident precision. This season, the distinctive pleat detail—contrasting in tone and sharply folded—is extended to mini skirts and outerwear, introducing tactile nuance to each piece. Embossed leather skirts and sharply tailored sleeves reinterpret heritage codes with a subtle, architectural slant.
Equally compelling is Osborne’s handling of fluid, soft silhouettes. A standout bubble-hem silk slip dress—delicately puckered from the knee—moves with quiet drama, while its more formal counterpart, with sculptural sleeves and gathered seams, reveals the designer’s growing command of sensual, easeful volume.
Balancing technical prowess with creative softness, the collection affirms Osborne’s dual identity as both innovator and craftsman—where every pleat, drape, and fold becomes a signature of intent.
