Haizhen Wang FW25/26: Precision & Power
In his Fall Winter 2025–2026 collection, Haizhen Wang channels the commanding silhouettes of the 1980s with a fresh, architectural clarity. Inspired by the iconic inverted triangle form—marked by structured shoulders and a narrowed waist—Wang revisits this power shape through the lens of contemporary construction and cultural reference, nodding to cinematic touchstones like Working Girl.
His tailoring reveals a meticulous sensitivity to proportion. Jackets are cut with wide shoulders that subtly fold inward at the natural curve, elevating rather than overpowering the wearer. Outerwear pieces, including a voluminous cheetah print coat paired with a tonal patterned skirt, exchange sharpness for a softly rounded silhouette. Meanwhile, elongated coats with razor-sharp peak lapels anchor the collection in its retro foundations.
Injecting contrast and complexity, Wang revives a city map motif first conceived a decade ago in London. Rendered in acid-washed jacquard denim, the print weaves memory and modernity into a fabric that grounds the collection’s more experimental notes.
Balancing runway precision with real-world adaptability, this season affirms Wang’s ongoing dialogue between craftsmanship and commerce—where bold structure meets refined intention.
